Danish Cord Spindle Back Bench by Miikana Woodworking
An original Miikana Design, this bench combines the strength of solid Ash with the aesthetic of Danish paper cord. Each bench is from solid ash with every part made right here in our Loveland, Colorado-based shop. We turn every leg and spindle, shape the seat, and meticulously assemble the bench using wedged mortise and tenons. The seat is woven in house with danish paper cord to ensure it fits perfectly. This design is made to ensure it lasts generations.

FINISH:
This bench has an amazing white-washed finish - an organic oil/wax finish that yields a matte/satin sheen that still allows the grain pattern to show through. Feel free to request a sample of the finish.
PRODUCTION:
Construction takes approximately 6-8 weeks to build and finish depending on our schedule. You can contact us first to get an estimated delivery date or one will be provided to you after you place your order.

Shipping will be billed separately after purchase unless a custom listing is provided with shipping included. Freight shipments are packaged with care and detail (see last photo) to ensure they arrive safe at your residence.
Free Local Delivery:
We offer free delivery within a 30-mile radius of Loveland, CO. Those craftsmen who built your piece of furniture will personally deliver the piece and carry it into your home or place of business. We'll make sure that it's placed correctly and then answer any final questions. Unlike shipping companies, we prefer to deliver in the evenings or on the weekends (Sundays) so that you don't have to take off from work and we will provide you with a +/- 15 minute delivery window.
Midwest:
In the following states (Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico) we also prefer to deliver our own furniture (if applicable) and provide you with the same customer-focused, white glove service as above. Our fee covers fuel and tolls and is less than the cost of freight shipping, plus our Sunday delivery times are much more convenient.
Nationwide:
For all other areas, we ship via freight carriers with a 7-10 day delivery period (sometimes faster). Your piece will be carefully packaged and wrapped for the trip, and then we build a custom wooden box to ensure the furniture arrives safely. Each piece is covered in plastic, wrapped in soft blankets and plastic wrapped. They are secured well inside the custom wooden crate. One side of the crate has easy access so it can be easily opened at its destination. The freight carrier will contact you to arrange delivery (usually a 4-5 hour window) and then they will deliver the box. The customer is then responsible for unpacking the furniture (we'll provide instructions) and disposing of the packing materials. Most pieces ship for $300-$500; oversize items incur additional charges.
